Coronavirus Outbreak In China - Death Toll Rises To 81

China's Northern neighbour Mongolia closed its borders with the country as cause and protection in order to contain the coronavirus. More than 80 people died since the outbreak started and there are estimates that it 86,000 people have been affected. Around half of those are believed to be half recovered.

Reports are coming that foreign governments are doing two things, those who are neighbours specially to the north, seeking to stop completely the travel between the countries. The Mongolian government closing its border, which is a vast border. North Korea which also share border with China shut it's border several days ago. Other governments are trying to extract some of the people who are living and working in Wuhan. Spanish government also said they will do whatever it needs to extract their 20 Spanish Nationals. The British government has a similar effort to imply, the Americans as well has slight more advanced plans to remove 200 to 300 people as well. So the foreign governments are doing everything to remove the peoples from Wuhan have which is the epicenter of the outbreak.

As of today 80 people have died of coronavirus in mainland China. 374 confirmed cases and 30,400 being monitored. That's what the numbers are. The death toll continues to increase and we have reports in Henan, which is an island province in the south of China. Today latest victim was an 80 year old woman. So the spread of virus is almost completely nationwide.

Such kind of outbreak happened in China back in 2002 that's nearly 18 years ago. This is very different to that. The details of this outbreak emerged in public pretty quickly after the Chinese government at National level was told about them. The big concern now, even though the Chinese government is conveying vast medical efforts and supply efforts, it can be too late because in earlier weeks when officials in Wuhan around Hubei province may have known about beginnings of this outbreak, may not have told with seriousness, may not have conveyed seriously to the national government at that stage.

The authorities are trying to contain the coronavirus in Henan province of China. The people who have gone to see their family and friends in New year are coming back to big cities but they can't come so easily. The officers are taking too much precautions in railway stations and airports in big cities. They are wearing protective clothes and masks and using sanitizers and checking body temperature of people before entering stations.

When people arrive back in cities like Beijing, the life will automatically go back to normal. For example schools are delaying classes, kindergarten and universities all imposing a bit of a sort of safety period, where they decide whether or not they can resume classes again and officials there in China have even extended the lunar new year holiday to give them a bit more breathing space to deal with this crisis.

China extends 8.74 billion dollar aid to help contain spread of virus and almost half of a  million medical staff deployed to Hubei. No deaths reported outside of China.
