He must win against the other male Ibexes for the access. The males are specially reinforced to fight battles. The fight can be between two or more.

Mortality Of Ibex

It has been seen that generally Alpine Ibex don't fall and die of mountains and dam slopes because they are quick learners and adapted to these conditions from childhood or right from birth. Ibex generally dies out of starvation in winters as it is not easy to climb slippery mountains in winters  and find their essential nutrients . Generally baby ibex dies out of this in winters. Main predators of Ibexes are leopards, grizzly bears and cougars. These Ibexes lives in mountains, terrain, and generally eats leaves and grasses for survival.  Pyrenean Ibexes are much larger in number of more than 50000 to 70000 but by the middle of 20th century there number dropped to less than 100. The last naturally born Pyrenean Ibex, a 13 year old female was found wounded and undead by scientist in Northern Spain in January 2000. She was trapped beneath a fallen tree in the jungle.
